About Zocular

What is Zocular?

Zocular is a line of eyelid and skin care built on okra. It was developed by Dr. Peter Pham, an ophthalmologist with a background in organic chemistry.

Every product uses Zokrex, our activated okra complex, to cleanse and condition the delicate skin around your eyes and face.

What sets Zocular apart?

Every Zocular product contains our patented okra complex, made of activated polysaccharides from fresh okra. It cleans thoroughly while staying gentle on the eyelids and skin.

How does Zocular use okra?

Fresh okra is rich in complex sugars called polysaccharides. Our patented Zokrex process activates them so they lift away oil, debris and makeup from the lash line and skin.

What can I expect from Zocular products?

Cleaner, fresher feeling eyelids and smoother looking skin, with a routine that takes seconds a day.

Are Zocular products suitable for sensitive skin or eyes?

Yes. Our formulas are made with sensitive skin and eyes in mind and are tested for safety and stability. Every product has a shelf life of at least 3 years.

Is there tea tree oil or hypochlorous acid in Zocular products?

No. Zocular products contain no tea tree oil and no hypochlorous acid. They rely on Zokrex, our okra complex.

Can Zocular products remove makeup?

Yes. ZocuFoam, ZocuWipe and ZocuZap gently remove both water-based and oil-based makeup.

Is Zocular recommended by eye care professionals?

Yes. Zocular is used in 2,000+ eye care clinics. See why eye care professionals trust Zocular.

Who created Zocular?

Zocular was created by Dr. Peter Pham, an ophthalmologist. He studied at Washington University in St. Louis, trained at the Doheny Eye Institute and served as Chief of Surgery at St. Luke's Hospital.

His goal was a gentler option for everyday eyelid hygiene.

Using the products

How do I use ZocuFoam?
  1. Remove mascara, moisturizer or sunscreen first. ZocuFoam works as a makeup remover too.
  2. Dispense one pump onto your index and middle fingers and spread it across the same fingers of your other hand.
  3. Close your eyes and gently scrub along the lash line for 10 to 15 seconds.
  4. Leave the foam on your closed eyelids for 30 to 40 seconds, then rinse with water.

One pump covers both eyes. A bottle lasts 2 to 3 months.

How do I use ZocuWipe?
  1. Open a single-use packet and unfold the pre-moistened pad.
  2. Place it on your fingertips and glide it along your closed eyelids, following the lash line, for 10 to 15 seconds.

Use once a day. No rinsing needed.

How do I use ZocuShield?
  1. Remove makeup, mascara, moisturizer or sunscreen from around your eyes.
  2. Press the plunger until one drop of gel appears on your index finger.
  3. Close your eyes and spread the gel across the lash line with a gentle back-and-forth motion.
  4. Blink a few times so the gel coats the lower lid, and keep going for 10 to 15 seconds.
  5. Massage any remaining gel into your eyelids and face until it starts to dry.

One drop per eye is enough. A bottle lasts 2 to 3 months. Watch the ZocuShield video.

How do I use ZocuZap?

ZEST procedure

What is ZEST?

ZEST (Zocular Eyelid System Technology) is an in-office eyelid cleaning performed by eye care professionals using ZocuKit. ZocuKit is sold only to professionals.

Think of it like a dental cleaning for your eyelids: a deeper clean of the lash line than you can do at home.

When would my eye care professional perform ZEST?

Your eye care professional decides when ZEST is right for you. It is quick and comfortable, and many people say it feels like a spa service for the eyes.

How often should I have ZEST done?

Most professionals suggest every six months, alongside daily eyelid cleansing at home. Even with a good routine, buildup collects along the lash line over time, much like plaque on teeth.

How many clinics offer ZEST?

Zocular is used in 2,000+ eye care clinics across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
